GCC at 40: Prospects and Challenges on the Recovery Path.

What is the GCC or the cooperation of the gulf Arab countries or the cooperation council of Arab countries is a cooperation unit in the field of regional security and economic terms consisting of: Bahrain, Quwait, Oman, Qatar and Saudi Arabia,was founded on May 25, 1981.

Forty-one years of GCC does not feel like a human being at the age of forty, many predictions are made at that age:

1.At that age people will reach a mature condition or a stable condition.

2. Because in this condition psychologically, some people feel that what they get at that time is the way of life they choose.

3. At the age of forty judgment and reality are generally balanced. (Developmental psychology :: Norman, Elizabeth Hurlock).

Wherever we are and whatever our position we cannot give up our identity, our social soul and our status.

Tinggal kita sebagai negara2 anggota berintrospeksi sudah berada dimana?Apakah kita masih tarap konsolidasi? karena sebuah organisaasi kerjasama tanpa konsolidasi,loyalitas dan kepercayaan hanya akan tinggal nama.Adakah dominasi dari negara tertentu sehingga negara lain menjadi penyerta saja bukan penyeimbang dari negara lain.

Likewise, this way of life that started from our small community, can be counted as family. In the family sometimes we are not always in harmony with other members but we can still synergize. Then can a community be added to:

A One area.

B. One race, namely the Arabs.

C. Have almost all the same culture.

D. Have the same interests, let alone have the same enemy.

And by the same religion. What's more.....?

Maybe there should be contemplation together what achievements have been achieved for forty years?

Have there been any failures that have occurred during those forty years, maybe it's worth looking at and each member providing input on what the cause is? Because it can be used as a basis for the next program.

Or something went wrong. However, each member makes a map of failure and a map of success with reasons according to their own opinion.

Actually, whatever the form of the state is, there is no problem because it really depends on the person, be it monarchy, presidential or parliamentary as long as they are able to carry out the mandate to uphold justice and honesty, as long as they are able to carry out the mandate to accommodate the needs, problems, guarantee security and welfare of the community.

How many countries with presidential and parliamentary systems with systems that are currently trending, the greed of the leaders and law enforcement in the country finally fell into the valley of poverty.

The members of the GCC should have loyalty, credibility and a high spirit to synergize between the six countries. The conflicts that arise should be used as mutual maturation between one country and another in developing the region.

The Al ulaa declaration should not be just a mere ceremonial agreement but must be imbued as a spirit that continues to have high enthusiasm and loyalty in order to realize what has been agreed, namely:

• The realization of coordination and integration among Member States in all fields to finally achieve state unity.
• To achieve security, peace, stability and prosperity in the region by working as a united and contributing economic and political group.

The 41st Summit of the Cooperation Council for the Arab Gulf States (GCC) reaffirmed the commitment of Member States to the objectives set out in the GCC Charter: 

• The realization of coordination and integration among Member States in all fields to finally achieve state unity.
• To achieve security, peace, stability and prosperity in the region by working as a united and contributing economic and political group

The results of the 41st GCC Summit, entitled “Sultan Qaboos and Sheikh Sabah Summit”, reflect the hopes and aspirations of the regional community to return collaboration among all Member States to its natural path, and further strengthen the bonds of brotherhood between them.

The signing of the Arab Republic of Egypt on the Al-Ula Statement confirms the strengthening of diplomatic relations between Egypt and the GCC countries.  This affirmation extends from the GCC Charter, which stipulates that coordination, cooperation and integration among GCC countries aims to strengthen and serve Arab interests. 

The world's explanation of the challenges posed by the COVID-19 pandemic has demonstrated what can be achieved when the global community is the same. During the presidency of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, the G20 countries managed to achieve unprecedented achievements in this field. pandemic and the need for strong field coordination especially the GCC.).
